Face/Off

Face/Off is an artefact that composes a multimedia exhibition.

  • It is a system that deconstructs the human face, a montage revealing the holistic visual processing of a facial expression, where the brain can understand it as a whole or a disintegrated set of parts.

Face/Off

The main elements responsible for the sensory collection are extracted from each photograph: our eyes and mouth.

The idea is to demonstrate how people with some neural disorders see our world. In this case, we want to simulate the difficulty of associating the parts to a whole.

RECODE Online Exhibition

RECODE has admitted a resonance of the culture of the creative coding community as a plural movement of interpretation, reclaim, revisit, and/or resignification of artworks and fundamental practices of early computer graphics and art and its subsequent works through the usage of contemporary media, tools, and technologies.

We invite you to explore how artists, academics, researchers, and practitioners explored and interpreted the notion of recode in their works.
