Cinescópio is an interactive artistic research project that bridges the gap between classic cinema and contemporary digital media. Through an immersive web-based experience, created using the code processing software VsCode and the languages HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, users can interact with a digital environment designed as a table filled with objects. Each object acts as a gateway, triggering clips from classic films that pop up alongside modern reflections, which were written and recorded by us, that connect to each theme. This juxtaposition of past and present invites the user to critically explore film movements such as cinema noir, Blaxploitation, and pre-code cinema while fostering a dialogue on evolving cultural narratives.
